Splash

This painting was a studio piece, completed from a series of photos taken on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, in Southern California.  I was interested in the energy and movement of the water as it swirled around the rocks, and the lovely texture and color of the rocks themselves, which created a variety of abstract patterns.
